In this connection he stated that the investigation had already startec, in that inquiries and checks were being made to ascertain the present location of the miners to be interviewed, and in addition other stepe such 98 2 review of the newspaper morgue available in Springfield has gotten underway in order to satisfy the Department's request for informationa to the sentiments of the people and their reaction to the strike conditions during the period under review. Mr. Hallford states that no publicity will result from checking the newspaper morgue since the newspaper is not interested in publicizing the case.
