oth of whom have identified. themselves as

or promises hive been made to induce me to make a st2tement.
"IT was born in

WB ven I came to the U. S.and joined the UM/ in I have never
eld any office in any union. I started working for e B in about
and am still employed at Mine B.. I joined the Progressive Union in 19
when the rest joined. Nobody threatened me at any time to join the wion
and as far as I'm concerned, one union is as good as the other.
"I do not know anything about any of the men in Propressiva acting
as spies and trying to organize for U.M.W. Since I cannot understand much
English and cannot speak the English language to any gre-t degree, I never
heard anything about what the men were talking about. I never talked
about wpes or strikes with any of the men at the mine. I just went to
the mine and did my work and then erme home. I Imow there was a strike
at Ine B in 1937, but I don't know what the strike was about except that
there wags an argument going on between United and Progressive.
When the mine went on strike I came home with the rest of the
men. I went out to the mine in Sept_ of 1937 and stayed on picket duty
et the mine witil Thanksgiving. JZ do not imow anything about any petitions
mut out by the P.ILA. In view of the fact I ecmnot write my om nome I .
know I didn't sign any petitions and don't remenber ever piving my consent
to anyone to sign any petition.
*I remember the NLRB election hold in Dec. of 1937, but do not
knor any of the details of the election. I do not have any knowledge of
what took placé at Hine B between Dec_ of 1937 and November of 1939. I
heard the mine was to open in November of 1939 so I went back to the mine.
