election in February, 1941 at which time the UMW won the right to be the
sole barzoining agent at Mine B. I joined the UM and remained a member

got along alright with the UM’ at mine B. -The miners did not like it when
it wos reported that the ballot boxes had been stolen in the UM vote taken
in 1932, and it was belioved that the minors had voted against the reduction
in wages, and for that rcason, tho ballot box was probably taken by 4 member
é of UNM. The miners then started organizing the PMA. I voluntarily joined
the PMA in September 1932, and felt that it was well opsrated. I did not hav.
any fault to find with the way PMA was run.
