come back to line 'B', This letter was from the company. I was on WPA
all the time the linc 'B' was closed,
"Right after we went out on strike in 1937, I woted in an election
which the PUL. won over the Ulli. No one threatencd or forced me to vote
and no promiscs were made to me,
",fter we went back to work in Nov. of 1939, there would be men
come to work for a few Wecks and then leave, They weran't from this part
of the country and had not wWorkcd at 'B' beforc, While they were there
they tried to talk me intvu joining IM/, but they never hurt or threatened
me. During this timc I heard Oscar Folcetti toll us that Hine 'B!
would be Uk and he didn't want any Pti.. During this tine I saw these
UK. men beat up the PEs men but I can't renember any names, except I know
was one of the UL/J men who was fizhting. No one ever hit me,
hen we had an election in about February of 1941, Bowling Green
and these other Yi men told me I had to vote for Ulsi or they would beat
mc up. I told then I would vote the way J wanted to.
"T kept on working at tine 'B’ from Nov. of 1939 until Jan. of 1943,
except for about a month and a half and in Jan. 1943 I went to work at
Panther Creek mine.
Then U.£/ won the election in Feb. 1941 I joined Ul&s and was Wy
until Jan. 1943, when I went Pu,
