Elshoff ever took it over. Before I ever started at Mine B I belonged to the United Mine Workers of America, and remained o menber until Mine B all joined up with the Propressive Miners of Ancrica, I don't know why the new Prorressive Union was formed and have no Imowledge af what caused the strike at Mine B in 1937. Disarreement of some kind I suppose, "I personally never had any trouble at the mine either with tre Union or with the mine officials. No one ever threatened me or forced me to join one union or the other, and I don't recall ever having signed any petitions showing that I was for either of the mions,. tafter the strike in 1937 I never went back to work at Mine B because I wis getting old and didn't think I couldwrk in the mines any more.
