is considered by interviewing Seents ts & good potential
witness. is confused eas to the sequence of detrils which he recalls. His
interest was passive for several years between 1932 and 1939 end he does not
recill gewents occurring in that time clearly. He recalls, clearly, however,
events surrounding the est-blishment of the rrogressive Mine Workers in 1932,
a the events occurring eat Mine “D" in 1939 and 1940 when he was being
abused there. He is quite apt to confuse the things which happenec in 1952,
with those which honpened in 1939 nnd 1940. Evente occurring in between
those dates evidently did not greatly concern hin, and he cannot recall them
vivid y- ay‘: vindictive arninst JORN L. LE‘IS, and OSCAR FALCSTTI.
He would be a stuDsorn witness ant would not be ensily confused on cross ex~
aminaticn except cs to sequence and dates of events. He makes a fair ape
penrance, has good command of the Enplish language, and con express hinself
clearly. He would be ozsily unterstooc. He pave informetion set forth in
the following signed strtements

ee something about not being cble to keep his job if he could. I always though
