At this meeting a vot was taken, which vote was praciicaliy
uninimous in favor of the PKA local going over to the UMN. At this point
Mr. Edmundson was invited to come to the meting, and he was informed
as to the decision which had been reached. He thereupon addressed the

to Edmundson's office we ciscussed the getting of a charter for the new
union local, and Edmundson ssid he would arrange for it and he also caller
his stenographer in end dictated 4 statement, which he signed, to the ef-
fect thet he vould do all in his power to get the mine reopened and get tac
men back to work in Kine A, Edmundson kept one copy of the statement,
and gave the original to with the understanding that if the mine re-
opened thet the statement would be given back to Edmundson.

with the UMW, except as I have indicated above wherein I heard the state-
