tried to open the mine in Sept, of 1937. LI went out thcore and stayed on
the picket line off and on until the Marshal came with an injunction in
Dec, of 1937. I came home once in a while to clean up and nobody ever
told me I couldn't go home. The men ell said we had to go on the picket
line or we would be called scabs and maybe we would lose our jobe
"TI voted in the NLRB clection in Dec. of 1937 at the d&rmory in
Springfield. I heard a few of the men arguing, but I didn't see any fight-~
ing or trouble.

hire you. This might have been in the early part of 1941. When they
told me they wouldn't have a job for me right away, I went and got a job
with Mine A and still work for Mine 4A.
