ization, and at thet time, he repeated the offer that I had pre-
vicusly made to Mr. tlshoff in “thet if the Labor Board recommended that
the men who were expelled from Local No. 54, Pa, should be put back to
work that the Progressive Organization would underwrite any expense in
which Elshoff might be involved as a result. Wwe insisted that ell the Pro-
gressives of this Locel were ready to go back to work, but not with the
twelve men inasmuch as under the closed shop contract with the mine, they
were not entitled to hold their jobs there if they were not members of
the Progressive Miners of America. Contracts with Nine B expressly stated
that only those who were members cf the PM4 were entitled to work at that
mine. No agreement was reached st this meeting.

in conference with Falcetti, and cur eppearance apparently surprised them
and Pasquale was not eble te conceal his gun in time to p event our sceing
it. A few scconds later, three or four Deputy Sheriffs arrived, I picked
the gun up and turned it over to the Deputy Sheriffs. This resulted in
a search of the others present with the exception of Falcetti, and it was
found that Joe Albencse was carrying a long barrel .38 revolver. Both
Albanese and Pasquale were arrgsted at this time for car ing concealed
weapons, TI esked Falcetti if he were trying to stor” me irom working,
and ho said, "No". Falcetti did not reprimand any of these men for carry=
ing weapons or for th ituation that was crcated by their actions on this
