that, bot that was the general concensus of Spinion. It Was common

a comzittee ras elected to go to see Elshoff and find out vhat Was going
to happen to Mine 4, I do not reeall who vas on that conmittec. I know J
tas elected to the exmittec. It vas to mect at the union hall at 1OAM
on one day, and ¥2 vere to all go out together. “hon I got to the hall,
tro of committee had already gone out, because they thought that the Ui

of the men. They all thought that they rould not jet their jobs. back,
and their was a lot of trouble keeping order at the necting.

There was no violence at that meeting, but there Was a lot of confusion.
I do not recall the details, J do not think anything else happened
until the meeting of the nen at the K of c hall. J did not go to that
necting, because I kner it tas to join the Wf, and I had said that I
