"Exhibit J. G. -10 is a copy of an affidavit dated Sept. 12, 1940,
this is an affidavit that scts out my findings on the question as to whethcr
or not P.i.i. men were being hired ct Hine 8 as weld as UL. members. It
ves th. contention of the compeny officials that they were hiring P.M... men
as well as U.MJl, I mde this investig.tion becausc of numerous complaints
tha. I had reecived from PHL. men to the effeet that they could not get
jobs at Minc B although men wore being hired there. I am making as
exhibit J. G. 1O-A a copvof an affidavit made by ne d:ted in October, 1940,
this rofers to men who were employcd at mince "BY" who twerc not Progressives and
mon who were Progressives who were denied jobs at mine "B" during the same
period. This affadavit refers also to a group of P.1.A. men who had there
