of Mins A wero undoubtedly afraid that ELSHOFS would mine his newly acquired
property through Mine B, and that to avoid this they came to him and signed
alplications for membership in the UMA. WAGNER should be asked if
BD UT DSCr oxpia ines why the Mine A employees undoubtedly had this fear, and
could correct “the si ituation by coming to him and signing applications for
menbarshio in the D.M.:eA. ‘HAGTSR should also be asked whether EDMUNDSON
indicated that he or any other U.M.a, official fostered any propaganda which
would lead the ine A employees to believe that Mine A would be operated if
they signed up with U.M..
5. W4G E72 should be asked whether he inquired of either EDMUNDSON
or LLSECFF to determine whether U.M WwW. had any financial interest in Mins A.
If wags? cid not maze such inquiries he should be asked whether either
EDINTILSO! or ZLSZOFF volunteered any information indiceting that the assets of
Mine A wore in fact owned by U.M... through BURKE, their Attorney.
6. If WAGNER? indicates that he had no information concerning the
ownership of the assets of Mine A by U.li.!. he should be asked whether the
possession of such information at the time "of his investigation would have made
an, difference in his official actions concerning the matter.
In ths event that Mr, VIAGLER's memory is substantially refreshed as
the result of the interview and he is able to furnish any probative information,
that information should be reduced if at all possible and practicable to @
signed statement.
