MURTHA and his Aide [ b6 b7C was advised the Federal Bureau of Investigation was investigating the allegations regarding the threats concerning Congressman MURTHA, while the Capitol Police were conducting an assessment of the threat as it relates to protection of Congressman MURTHA. [—sdjwas advised he was under no obligation to speak with the interviewing Agents; however, [expressed his willingness to cooperate in this matter. was advised it was a violation of Federal law to threaten a United States Congressman, specifically in this instance, Congressman JOHN P. MURTHA. was further advised an investigation was being conducted in order to determine if the allegations were true. again agreed to cooperate in order to resolve this matter. thereafter provided the following information: : stated he_bore no ill feelings toward anyone and could forgive anyone. advised he has plans to run for Congress, was under no delusions regarding running_for election, and was in complete control of all his faculties. added while he may have, in frustration, said something that could be construed as threatening, he had no plans to do anything to anyone.
