Date reviewed: 12/04/98 MULTIPLE TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS DATE & TIME: 12/03/98 @ 18:41 Hours LOCATION: Wyomin ar Lehigh Street by: Officer mea This Officer; enroute to Brownstown Borough, was rounding the curve on Wyoming Street near Lehigh Street when a 1983 blue Ford Ranger truck, which was traveling in the opposite direction, came around the curve at a high rate of speed in the lane of travel of this Officer. This forced my Patrol Unit to the far right side of the roadway, nearly hitting the embankment. At this time, this Officer turned my Patrol Unit around on Lehigh Street and initiated a traffic stop on Bucknell Avenue at Tioga Street, at which time the operator exited his vehicle and began to walk towards my patrol unit. This Officer ordered the driver to return to his vehicle, at which time he complied and asked this Officer to "just not shoot me". Upon obtaining his driver's information, he, again, asked this Officer not to shoot hin. Officer mtttives on scene at this time to assist and the driver ain Made reference to police officers wanting to_shoot him fo Officers explained operator, [| at we do not work for nor do we shoot Or traffie vi tions. Mr. continued to “rant and rave" to Officer while this lcer ran his driver's. information. The vehicle displayed an expired inspection sticker of 7/98 and also a registration plate showing an expiration of 7/98. A check of the registration came back as a dead tag. The vehicle was also uninsured. The registration plate was seized by Officers, an in's Towing Service was contacted to tow the vehicle. Mx asked the driver of Deyarmin's Towing Service to tow his veniclie to his residence, at which time he was also given a ride home by the Towing Service, Citations will be filed on violations upon receipt of certifications. Copy of the signed Acknowledgement of Seized/Surrendered Driver's License/Vehicle Registration is attached to the Complaint Card.
