Towers arrived on 12/10/60. Upon her arrival, Towers immediately engaged her into lucrative prostitution during which she earned about $400 per week $300 of which he took. She utilized four personal phone numbers to arrange her prostitution dates, One phone listed to Towers at 140 W. 55th ST., NYC, apt. 4A; one to Novotny at 300 East 46th St., apt. 18D, NYC: one to Horace R. Dibben, her husband, at same 46th ST, address and one to E. M. Adams at 54 East 83rd St., NYC apt 4C. In addition, she employed the American Answering Service at 121 W. 7end:St., aot 2A, NYC to take calls for her. Assistant District Attorney William F, Reilly received an anonymous telephone call, advising that Maria Novotny had been using the American Answering Service to actively solicit ' prostitution dates and had been entertaining them at 140 East 55 th St., NYC.
