Warden WALTER A HUNTER advised Agent that he had never beer, con=
tacted directly or indirectly relative to the paroles of subjects PHIL
D'ANDREA, PAUL DeLUCIA, LOUIS CANPAGNA or CHARLSS GIOE, He stated that he
had no knowledge as to how the paroles of these four individuals were ob-
tained and had heard nothing relative to them other than newspaper stories
and did not kmow of any irregularities in the methods used in obtaining the
‘parolese He also advised that no pressure whatsoever was exerted from any
gource on the U.S. Prison, Leavenworth, relative to the paroles.
The file of DeLliCIA, inmate #62118L, was thoroughly reviewed
relative to any misconduct on the part of this inmate. His record at Leavene
worth is good, with no violetions of any kind. While confinec at Atlante,
there was a report dated May 27, 1944. This report shows thet TeLWlA was
reported by Associate Warden BEN OVERSTREET for having sought to be approved
for diet, and in order to assure same, he contacted inmates D'ANDHEA, /63777A;
and had them attempt to influence a

to medical Technical Assistant substantially as foliows: “You
should find a trace of sugar in this bicod." As a result of the above,
subject DeLUCIA was pleced in punitive segregation 7 days; second grace,
90 dayse He entered punitive segregation at 5:00 A.lie on 5-27-44 and came
out of punitive sepregation at 6:00 PeMe on 6-344. This report was signed,

The file of DeLiCTA fails to reflect that any action was taken
with respect to losing good time.
Also found in the fils is a mimeogreph dated June 16, 1944 end
signed by "WALLACE" for filing. This mimeceraph was captioned: geen
a DIANDREA, 637778 ;
and PAUL DeLUCLA, 637764." The mimeograph shows detailed questioning by the
Disciplinary Board consisting of Warden JOSEPH W. SANFORD, Associate Varden
BEN OVERSTREET; and Chief Medical Cfficer GEORGE He5S, on May 27, 1944,
relative to DeLICIA's blood tast. This mimeograph contains no statemonts
relative to a forfeiture of geod time or as to what action was takon. A
separate typewritten transcript appears in the file of an intervicw with
iomeat on May 27, 1944, ai which time the foliowing
were presents BEN OVEASTREET, Associate Warden; Dr. GEONGE HESS, Chief
