a Don Lash was associated with the Roosevelt Admiatistratic _
It appears that Sullivan was, in fact, referring to Joseph Lash who -
apparently did have a close reletionship with Eleanor Roosevelt and wasa
frequent guest at the White House. Bureau files disclose that Joseuh r. Lash,
aka Joe Lash, was born in New York City Novercher 2, 1909, He reportedly &
joined the Socialist Party of the United States in 1929 and resigned from that .
party in September, 1937. Lash was inducted into the United States Army N
April 29, 1942, commissioned a Second Lieutenant on Léay 18, 1945, and
discharged on Cetober 2, 1945, 29 307 I
