Dear Mr. Kelley: DATE C pf-2-38 —
. On December 2, 1974 you were good enough
. to answer an inquiry I had made with regard to whether
5 , President Roosevelt had ordered a wiretap to be placed
pn the telephone of John L. Lewis.

In connection with the Roosevelt-Churchill
book at which I am at work I now have a further query.
. | It relates to the America First movement and the Burcau's
"Investigation of its activities at the behest of Mr.
Roosevelt.
Would it be possible for me to see copies of
the reports that went to the White House in connection
with that investigation? As this was one of the first
political investigations by the Bureau, apart from the
investigation of Communists, Nazis and the like, it has,
as you will appreciate, considerable historical interest.
