By communication dated August 7, 1968, the
Springfiela Office advised that Secret Service, Washington,
D, C., made available an anonymous letter received from
the Office of Honorable ADLAI STEVENSON, Iilinois State
Treasurer. This letter was postmarked Boston, Massachu-
setts, A.M., June 29, 1968, addresssed to "Honorable ADLAI STEVEN-
SON, State Treasurer, State House, Snorinefield. Tilincis"

and contained the following message:
"Mr, Stevenson
"You will have Ted Kennedy's blood
on your hands. If he accepts the VP
