No forwarding address gould ‘be found however for Helen Bailey. a ‘on waich date he will «eturn to Detroit.” 2k AY pur Through EB. Vogt, carrier No. 899, mhose route embraces 2547 west Grand Boulevard, the writer ascertained that Mra. Laura M- Beiley and a young woman who he understood is her daughter Helen, are presently living at this eddrees with a femily by the nem of Early. Mre. Laura Me Bailey, according to Mr. Vogt, received a first class letter from out of town within a few days previous to agents interview with himy how .~ ever he did not take note of the postmark or notice whether same bore a return address. Continuing Mr. Vogt stated that as yet he has not seen . either Mrs. Laura Bailey or Helen Bailey, possibly due to the short period . . of time they have lived at thie address. He did state however that the Early family had resided at the above address possibly over a yeare He éid not know the Early family’s connection bor Was he able to state that the Bailey family ever rece ived mail from Lansing, Kensas. The nature of — -this investigation wa explained to Mr. Vogt as also was a photograph of . ~ « - Subject Bailey exhibited to him. He promised that if at any time he =... = should observe anyone in the Bailey residence or in the vicinity whoes likeness and description compare with Subject Bailey thet he will immediately _ communicate with this department. Mr- Yogt further informed agent that ‘there was also a family by the name af Lau residing next door to the Baileys}; that this man is in the real estate business and appeared to be a most reliable and trustworthy persone. - - oe, a At 6303 Lewton, Detroit, Agent made cas a man who oceupies one of the four flats in this address for Helen Bailey, --—— this being done on the assumption that something of value may be obtained concerning the Bailey family. This man volunteered to state that Helen eae the Bailey was slightly known to him due to the fact that she and her mother =. had lived in one of the apartments at this address until June 1 last, at - - =F weich time he stated they then moved to 2570 West Grand Boulevards ~:.: yen a It is to be noted thet this address ig different from” the forwarding address given at the Post Office by Mrs. Laura Me Bailey, and in view thereof Agent proceeded to this location and found sane to - pe a small apartment building. Discreet inquiry was made there of a lady who stated she was the manager, and she advised that Helen Bailey end her mother, Laure yr, pailey, hed once rented one of their apartments in the building Bees 7 . ‘
