Agent Dwight Brantley proceeded to Joplin from Tulsa, Oklehomme == roe Upon authorization of the Ue Se Attorney at Kansas City, Missouri, complaints wore filed charging Herbert Farmer and his wife, Esther Farmer, with ome piracy to effect the escape of a Federal prisonere Farmer was taken into custody a Deputy Ue Se Marshal Charles MeDonald at, Joplin, Missouri, and Mree Farmer Wes | also taken into custody by the Marshal when ehe visited the jaile ©... .. aa Mr. Portley advised that information was received by him fram an unidentified | source to the effect that Farmer was at his home, ani Detectives le He ie Vandeventer, Je He Caylor, Tom peGraff and Clay Brown proceeded to Farmer's ‘home where he was taken into custodye No persons were. ‘present at Farmer's ni home, except an aged caretaker, While the detectives wore performing this _gisaion Mra.
