Mra. Shipman elso atated thet the man in question wore derk blue serge trousers, well dressed, tan colored shirt, brown felt het. He was neatly dressed. He also cerried a loaf of bread in hie hand, recently purchesed from all appeerences. Mrs. Shipman spoke pertioulerly about the peculierly sharp end searching eyes. In eddition to the above steted facte, Mre. Shipman informed Mr. Ezell thet she recognized the vhotogreph of WILSURQUNDERHZLL es being that of the brother of B03 PRUSEILL, @ resident of Louieville, Kentucky, at the present time. In thia letter connection, lirs. Shipman steted that she ie the daughter of one Joeyiichnell, a forrer convict, sentenced to the U. S. Penitentiery, Atlente, Ge., from Frenkfort, Ky., «© year ego last Kerche McAnell re~ ceived a two year sentence but hea been out on parole for nearly a year. He ig now living in the Clifton Heichts district of Louisville. kcAnall had been convicted on @ liquor cherge,that of running a still owned by the Bob Underhill, mentioned above. Underhill beat the case agceinst him and since thet time, Mcfinell end Underhill have not been on good terms. Both men reside in the same ndghborhood in Loulsvilie at the prosent time. Detective Ezell continued to stete thet when hire. Shipman saw the photo- _ @faph of Fugitive WILSUR UNDERYILL, she instantly remarked, "My God, that looks like Bob Underhill. He and my fether were caught in a liquor i ecrepe neerly two yeers ago. My feather got two years in Federal Court | end Underhill best hia case". At thie point, Mr. Ezeil added thet Lirs. Shipman hed not seen the photozgr@hs before and had not seen the name of the man written on beck of the photograrh. She had no way of knowing who the men wes unless she positively recognized him from past aseocietion. As it happened, the photocraph was that of Wilbur Underhill, instead of Bob Underhill. However, from an investigative point of view, the incident aroused Ezell to action and he made plans to follow the matter through. re. Shipman told gzell thet she did not know Bob Underhill's brother, but knows Bod very well. She saya thet the photograph resembles Sob Underhill very clasely, Her identificetion end unfeigned exclenations in the presence of Ezell and Mre. Ezell speeks for themselves. Agent questioned Mra. Shipman today in the presence of Krs. Ezell end her husband, Detective Ezell. Mra. Shipmen confirmed the etatements ae made above by kr. Ezell in detail. She is very certein of the fect that Bob Underhill resembles very claely the photogreph of Fugitive Wilbur Under= — bill. She eleo identified the photograph of Ed Davis ee being a very close Yesenblance of the man who called at her home last evening and demanded food and lodging. She referred particularly to his sharp, piercing eyes. She admitted that the man frightened her to such anextent that she pulled beck into the houge as fest es possible. However, her husband sew the
