It was learned through Assistant Mansger Peterson that
the Buchalters end their friends had made reservations for beach cheirs
in front of the Ritz Cerltom Hotel. in this conection, agent Soucy and
the writer made arrangements with dasistant Manoger Peterson to reserve
two beach chairs on the beach in front pf the hotel in order to paintein
@ surveillance on the Buchelters, Mra. Vivier Allen and their sssocistes,

of the ehaire reserved by agents and approximtely ten feet avay.
On Saturday morning, August Sth, agente donned bathing
suite end oceupied the chairs which hed been reserved. At that tine
4t was noted that Mr. end Mrs. Buchalter were occupying the chaire
situated directly in front of agents. In company vith the Buchal ters
were three other gen, two of whom were of Jewish extraction, anf three
other wonen, two of whom were of Jevieh extrection. A young boy, about
eight years of age, who wee thought to be the eon of Mrs. Buchalter, was
also present. One of the women in this group was thought by agents to
be Mrs. Vivian Alien, her description differing from the description
available in the detail thet her heir was ef a henna color instead of
blond. This women appeared to be between 25 and SO years of age, weighed
,ebout 125 pounds, was about 5*7* in height and had henne colored heir
which she wore in a Grete Garbo fashion, end wea of a medium slenier
build. he wre ea wedding ring set in diamonds on the ring finger of
her left hend and also wore a wristwatch on her left erm, which wae of
either white gold or platinuz, set in diamonds. She wore no ring on
her right hend. It wae noted thet although this woman wore @ bathing
euit and beech trousers, she at no time entered the water. { }
The above group of people oocupied the beach chairs
in question during the major portion of Saturday and Sunday, August
Sth and 6th, 1933, and agents were able to cbseerve all of them to the
extent that they feel they will be eble to make an identification of
@ subsequent time. .

with the oecupante of roons 1427 to 1450 snelusive.
