“4 With further reference to the request of Agent in
Charge Vetterli to transport three witnesses fron Kanees City to
Oklahoma City to view Harvey*Bailey, I desire to advise that I
conferred with itr. Ridgely of the Criminal Division end he stated
that he felt that there was absolutely no objectioa to thie pro-
cedure, and that if the Accounté Division approved the expenditure
of funds be was sure taoat the expenditure would be justified. TI
thereupon called Mr. Locke, who conferred with Mr. Matchett. I
was informed by Mr. Locke that the procedure would be approved.
I tnereupon called itr. Vetterli at Kansas City and so informed hin.
Incidentally, + advised Vetterli that I bad received a -
call from the Department ioquiring ebether the fingerprints of a
man thought to be George Xelly, under arrest at Meade, Kansas,
were in fact the fingerprints of Kelly. Agent Vetterli stated
that he had looked into the matter in the morning and found that
the man under arrest at #eade, Kansas, is not George Belly.
