MILLER with aliases, et al Obstruction of Justice A, During the evening of September 22, 1933, I o~ Trecal ved a long distance telephone call from Mr. Vincent Hughes _ of the Division to the effect that investigation by the Jackaon- nS ville office at Savannah, Georgia, indicated that possibly some ~ of the suepects in this case might be around Savannah and Tybee Beach, Georgia, and instructing that I proceed immediately to Sevanneah and contact Mr. alt and other agenta of the Jacksonville office. On the same evening Agent L. B. Reed of this office and I left Charlotte by autanobile, and arrived in Savannah ; the following morning, where we contected Special agent L. E. King- ‘ man immediately. Shortiy thereafter, Mr. Alt and other agents of the Jacksonville office arrived in Savannah, Investigation was conducted by several agents in Savannah, but it was found that the persons there are not any of the suspects in the case. The i particulars of the investigation at Savannah will be furnished the Division by Mr. alt. On the mormming of September 24th, agent Reed end I left Savannah, for Charlotte, arriving here during the afternoon of the 24th. DB:F 62-474
