Agent in Gherge Conroy called from Kansas City
end steted that the {Keating andjHolden womfn had visited the penitentiary
yesterdey and thet guards were present throughout the interviews with
their husbands; thet efter their return to their rooms they stated that
if anybody expected them to say anything while the guards were present
they vere crazy. Subsequently krs. Holden called Chicago, Hemlock 3978,
her home, but was unable to make a connection. From their convergation it re)
appeers that they ere leaving Kanses City tomorrow. They talk about \
arriving at Chicago on Saturday. While they have not mentioned St. Louts, ny
it is assumed thet if they leave Fridey morning they will proceed to
&t. Louis and thence to Chicago, as it would not require more than a day _
to proceed direct to Chicago. Agent in Charge Conroy has made errange- 4
mente to check the metter st Kansas City, end in fact has stated that he re S
contemplated, if he had sufficient time, that he would follow them in his *
car with his wife, baby and baggage, end having a North Caroline license
he probably would not be suspected. I told him that if he could do this
