MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR I called the San Antonio Office on the 14th instant by telephone and directed Acting Special Agent in Charge Davis to imnediately arrange to have Robert Brady, now held in New Mexico with Jim Clark, both of whom are escapes from the Kansas State Penitentiary et Lansing, returned to that Penitentiary. I advised Davis that the Division was not desirous of proceeding with the removal hearing on the obstruction of justice charges egainst Brady at this time, but it desired that Brady be transported back to the Kansas Stete Penitentiary, and I told Davis that if it was necessary for — him to have the Kansas City or Oklahoma City Offices take any action to perfect this arrangement, he should promptly cali them on the telepiione.
