Keating of the Chicago Office, who later reported that none of the above numbers has siy significance in this case. oe pea re On the efternoon of 10-31-33, Mr. “Hier of the Telephone Comp my eee at ; Detroit informed the writer that according to a further search of hie records, Sey Chicago telephone number Long Beach 0800 (Sherone Apartments) had been. called . : °° at 5:09 P.M., on 10-28-33, by acme party ‘at the Seward Hotel, Detroit, telephone i. - Trinity 25800; that thie party had cetled a Mrs, ". Fs Willime at Long. Booch . By long dis tence telephone, the writer ¢ was informed by deont Keating of the Chicago Office that on 10-30-33 Vivian and Bobby Moore alias | Mrs, J, A. Harris had, together, secured Illinois licensee for an eutanchile - under the nene of Mra, J. &. Williams. Agent Keating did not at the time know ef eny other party nated Williams who might be living at the Sherone Apartments. Accordingly, immediate inquiry was made at the Seward Hotel, 55 Seward Street, Detroit. Information was procured fran the auditor, ZeJ. Rork, the call in 7 question had been made by 6 man, 50 years of age, gray hair, heavy set, who.) had regietered at the Seward on 10-26-33 aa Willien J. Williams of Chicago, _ end who was still oceupying room #911, Mr. Rork further furnished information . that on 10-28-33 this party bad called Long Beach 0800, Chicago, and on 10-20-33 had called Palisade 0662, also in Chicago. Mr. -Rork further stated that a ~-——~< second call on 10-29-33 had been made by this eame party to Chicego, telephone Hermitage 9555. <A further search of the records of the Seward Hotel revealed - thet this guest, Willian J. Willies, had on 4-6-33 occupied Apartment #526 __ _ of the Seward Hotel, and in connection with the rental thereof had executed a pequest for a monthly rate, in which he had furnished information to the ef- fect that he was President of the Williams Products, Inc., of 920 Firat National — . Bank Building, Chieego; thet he resided in Chicago at 2637 Logan Boul evard; ‘that be kept an account in Chicago with the First National Banke Since the =~ ' @escription of Williem J. Williams in no way fitted that of Vernon C.
