It was decided that Special Agents Anderson and Marshall would concentrate their efforts on Galatas and Underhill. They would proceed to St. Louis tonight and there interview one Tom Carney, & Wo on, bookmaker friend of Galatas.: They do not expect that Carney will gq - give then a great deal as he is friendly to Galatas, but through the ge interview they hope to obtain some information. They will then proceed wos to Hot Springs, Arkansas and possibly to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as maar Agent Marshali is a member of the same fraternity of which the son of ‘ Galates is a member. Oo as ~> Conroy states that he believes oenet Agent Anderson is closer to the informant at 4ot Springs than Colvin and requests if possible that efforts be made to expedite the authorization for the pay- ment of a reward in the Galetas case, and in addition to informing Agent Colvin, he, Conroy, would like to be informed so that Anderson in turn may be notified. These Agents will keep in close touch with Agent in Charge Conroy throughout their inquiries. I am informed that the authorization for the payment of 2 $500; eward in the Galatas case has been received from the Attorney General, and notification will innediatel be gent to Kang ale Oklahoma City.
