Dear Sir:
Reference is made to Division telegram dated December
11, 1993, requesting advice as to disposition of an arrest of |
FranNash, as Charles BO Edgar, No. 1596, arrested PD Joplin,
Missouri, July 26, 1919, charge + Grand Larceny.
Through telephonic communication, it was ascertained
from the Joplin Police Department that Nash under that alias and
number was arrested on July 26, 1919, for the grand larceny of an
automobile; that at the time of his arreat, there was also arrest-
ed with him one W. S.fWeber, alias aA. Cj,Keller, Joplin, Mo., PD

Missouri, on July 27, 1919, and both were acquitted at Joplin. How-
ever, the records show that both of these individuals were turned
over to Oklahoma State authorities to be tried on charce of auto-
mobile theft. It does not show to shat authorities in Oklahoma
the prisoners were released. However, Mrs. fommies, Record Clerk,
Joplin, Missouri, Police Departzent, believes from her recollection,
that Nash was turned over to county authorities at Vinita, Oklahoma.
In looking over her records, Mrs. Tommies found that Weber, hereto-
fore mentioned, was sentenced in Pottawatome County, Oklahoma, on
Way 16, 1920, on charge of Grand Larceny and sentenced to fifteen
years in the Oklehome State -Pohitentfary at which latter insti-
