8. Agent Andersen also advised that it is reported by a confidential informant at Hot Springs, Arkansas, that Galatas has @ hideout near Conway, Arkansas. However, it was the opinion of the agents, which is concurred in at this office, that in view of the fact that Informant 4 had a spy trailing the Agente subsequent to inter- views with him, it would not be advisable for them to make any personal investigation at Conway. 4s hes been stated heretofore by telephone to Mr, Bughes by Special agent in Charge Conroy, Agents Andersen and Mar- shall located a cousin of agent Marehall, who resides at Hot Springs, and who is accuainted with Galatas. The name of Agent Marshall'a couse in is not mown to this office aa yet, but will be furnished to the Division later. ‘That party has promised to exert every possible effort to aid the Agents. He believed it quite probable that Galatas may be hiding out in the vicinity of Hot Springs, and it is thought likely that he might be at Conroy, Arkansas, which ia not ao great distance from Hot Springs, however, Agent Marshall's cousin is securing this data and has the telephone number of the Kansas City office, with which he will com~ municate all information in a confidential manner. Copies of this letter are being forwarded to the Oklahoma city office for information at this time; the St.Louis office is furnished with copy of this letter as basis for interview with Bob Prout mentioned herein; the Birmingham, Cincinnati, Detroit and Chicago offices are also being furnished with copies of this letter at thia time for information only.
