Inquiry at thie address revealed that pr. Frank Kidwell was en osteopath or chiropractor, who had moved from the hotel .in 1933 and who had an office in the auditorium Hotel, which is located on. if ‘Michigan Avenue near the resr of the Hayes Hotel: Agent Metcalfe ‘Ynfomed ’ that he had_ no information which would indicate that the party who parked - “this” car in ‘that lot hed any connection with the Heyes’ Hotel.*s, thy pets, Numerous reports in the case ‘entitled "Frank Nash with aliases- ~ Fugitive; I7-6.°1106"= Escaped Federal prisoner"; -end 4n the -case--entitied.. "Vernon C. filler with aliases (deceased), et al. - Conspiracy to Deliver . Federal prisoner®, contain references to various addresses in Oak Park, Illi- nois, which were occupied by Miller and possibly other members of this gang. It will be noted from the letter of the Chicago Division office “to the St: 7" Louis Division office, dated 8/19/33, that one Helen Ferguson, and one yrs. A. Gordon rented an apartment at 414 Home “avenue, Oak Park, Illinois on June £0, 1933, at which time Mrs. Gordon, who is believed to be Mra. Barker, Was = accompanied hy ura. One of Mrs. Gordonts sons lived with her, afd this men's description @newers that of either of the Barker brothers, but the taller man who lived in that apartment from time to time cannot be identified es Karpis, although ’ he might bavye been that individual. Yernon Miller was identified as @ visitor ‘ at the apartment during the period from. The foliowing apartment buildings were contacted by agent, beginning on about Petruary 19, 1934, and continuing for e nunber of days thereafter.
