Yevealed, ami thet the Avents wished to speak to her personally for a few minutes. cma without provocation, stated "I suppose it 1s - something about that detective business", also saying that — had e few minutes ago started walking down the road, home being about two miles from town, and she was on her way to Calhoun Where she could be found hanging around tne etrectse stated | is about 18 years of age and that about a year ago she quit high echool, saying she wanted to etudy to become a detective, © =" ~ hichway between her hore and Calhoun end when interviewed stated that she — had written a letter to the Chief of Police at lhiscogee, Oklahoma; saying further tper io vue in of December, 19353, she, in company with a girl friend, ran away from home going to Chattanooga, Tennessee, by bus. She said thet upon arrivel at Chattanooga they checked their begegage at the bus depot end while sitting around the depot made the acquaintance of a boy who gave his name es Jack lack, whom she described as being about 25 years of age, 5° 8" in height, dark eyes, derk hair, medium complexion, and who, when asked as te hie occupation, stated that he was an outlaw. She said that she asked him if he knew Pretty Boy Floyd, whereupon he replied affirmatively, stating that Floyd had been ~ @ partner of his and thet they had been together on a couple of jobs. < She, also, claims that Mack stated that Floyd was in Nashville, Tennessee, at that time. She further mentioned that Mack claimed hia woman'was in the hospital in Chattanooga with appendicitis; that he had been in Chattanooga, Tennessee, for a couple of weeks ani was living at a boarding house some place, although questioned closely, could furnish no further information concerning Mack on any statements that he micht have made about Floyd and especially the latter's whereabouts in Nashville, Tennessee. She further claimed ot and Floyd are half-brethers., #hen BSn68a where sne stayed in Chattanooca claimed that she stopped at a hotel along with and that they were taken to this hotel by Hack, who she denied stayea with them.
