Johnson arrived in Mexico City on schedule 4/14/66. There was a large crowd on hand at the airport and along the route to the Presidential Palace. The crowd was estimated at slightly over two million people, : The entire Diplomatic Corps, including the Soviet Ambassador, was on hand at the airport to greet the Presidential Party, There was a large number of union members and bus loads of students at the airport, although these groups were friendly. As a whole the crowd at the bE airport and the people along the procession route were very bIC friendly and gave the President a warm reception, There were ho significant incidents, although two groups of small boys who were shouting something unintelligible before the pro- cession arrived were dispersed by the police.
