Davis refused to confirm or
deny the report, saying he will
issue a statement only after his
Subcommittee meets Thursday.
Perez said he would confer
with Subcommittee members
Thursday in Washington.
Perez said he did not know
anything about staff arrange-
ments for the investigation,
scheduled to begin this week.

would not identify has been “in-
vestigating” the Washington
