Portions of target positively identified by HENRY T. RICE, L.A. nanufacturer and erstwhile financial backer as being part of the model target or kite. RUG Teletype from Houston to Director dated 12/28/18. Teletype from Los Angeles to Director dated 12/28/\6. Teletype from Los Angeles to Director dated 12/29/18. DETAILS: This investigation is predicated upon the receipt of referenced teletype from the Houston Office advising that LONNIE ED’ARD NOACK had located am object in the desert near Helendale, California, resembling a flying disc. This object, described as a flying disc, had been located by NOACK, FR. C. PERSON and Mr- and Mrse NATHAN SMITH of South Pasadena, California, approxi- mately one hundred and fifty miles northeast of Pasadena or about twenty miles from Lone Pine, California. Special Agent EDWARD OLSEN determined that k. C. PERSON, Vasco Manufacturing Company, was traveling in Arizona and not available for interview.
