M. LADD, setting forth the result of an interview con- ducted by GEORGE FUGATE, JR., then a representative of the Air Force Intelligence, from Hamilton Field, California, and Special Agent J. BAILEY BROWER with one WILLIAM ALBERT RHODES, 4333 N. 14th Street, Phoenix, Arizona, concerning his observation and photographing of an object which was considered by the Air Force of significance from a security standpoint. On June 7, 1949, Mr. LYNN C. ALDRICH, OSI representative, Phoenix, Arizona, called at this office, advising that he had been requested by his superiors: in San Francisco to obtain detailed in- formation concerning this interview since RHODES apparentiys has. requested the Air Force to return the photographs.->**™ FUGATE, when questioned by his superiors concerning the matter, stated his recollection was "hazy" on the matter. OSI is anxious to secure the substance of information in the Phoenix file concerning this matter. Mr. ALDRICH was furnished the substance of the interview, as set forth in letter of reference and he has now requested that he be furnished with a blind memorandum setting forth this information in detail in order that he may make it available to the OSI at San Francisco. : A memorandum setting forth this information has been pre- pared by this office and is attached hereto.
