PROPERTY ANN EEUU EN PROPERLY Between the hours of 7:00 p.m., February 14, 1974. and 12:45 a.m., February 15, 1974, jewelry totaling $24,065 belonging to Lee Liberace, well known night elub and television entertainer, was stolen from Liberace's suite at the Statler-Hiltcn Hotel. Vallas, Texas, where he had been registered since February 10, 1974. At the time cf the burglary, Liberace was performing ait Mc Farland Hall Auditoriam, Dallas. The jewelry was maintained in an aluminum suitcase with a combination lock. There was no forceable entry intc Liberace's suite and there was no apparent forceable entry into the metal Case. Acccrding IC to Liberace, only he and Saini, knew fp the combination to the suitcase. of Latent fingerprint and Partial palm print were developed by Dallas, Texas Police Department, however, — no elimination prints were taken. Mr. Liberace personally appeared on local television February 15, 1974, and announced a $1,000 reward for the return of his jewelry. Should any positive information be developed concerning Liberace's jewelry, the nearest Federal Bureau of Investigation Office should be immediately contacted, A list of the jewelry is attached: This document contains neither recommendations hor conclusions of the FBI.
