Character: INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION OF STOLEN PROPERTY -
MAJOR THEFT
Synopsis: On 2/17/74, between the hours of 7:30 p.m. and
approximately 10:30 p.m., a burglary of Room 917 at the
Travelodge Hotel, 4500 Harry Hines Boulevard, Dallas, Texas,
occurred and jewelry belonging to the Hammond Company,
valued in excess of $10,000 was taken.
On 4/17/74, a search of the business
y EWIN, Chicago, Illinois, conducted by
the Chicago FBI Office resulted in the arrest of LEWIN
and at that time, numerous trays of jewelry believed identical
with the Hammond loss were recovered.

receipt of information received from Detective
Dallas, Texas Police Department on February 19, 1974, who
