REURLETS dated October 29, 1941 and January 22, 1942, captioned "huthors League of America.* The May 25, 1950, issue of the "Compase" contained an article to the effect that the Authors League of America had issued a statement declaring that the refusal of the Supreme Court to review the case of the "Hollywood Ten" had perpetuated a situation in which there exists in the United States “a form of — censorehip dangerous to the rights and economic subsistence of all authore." The article continued by quoting additional portions of the atatenent including a criticism which the League had issued two and one-half years ago conceming the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
