On one occasion, he stated she introduced him to BUCHALTER, whom he had ebserved talking to MISS BLOOM in his office. after LUCHALTER left, MISS BLOCiA edvised him that he was her uncle, and admitted to him that BUCHALTER wis “in the rackets" in New York City, and that the family did not have much to do with him. SAPIRO said that he could not remember what year this was, but he indicated that BUCHALTER had stopped in to see MISS BLOOM scveral times, and his only interest in seeing her was to inquire as to how she was and how other members of the family were. He also at times attemptzd to have her take some money from him, but SAPIRO stated MISS BLOOM always refused. SAPI20 said that he has not scen BUCHALTER for years, and knows nothing of any other connections of his.
