Ad PLT TN FRUIT OF ISLAN (FOL) On December 22, 1958, a source advised that the FRUIT OF ISLAM (FOI) is a group within the NATION OF ISLAM (NOI) composed oF 211 able-bodied male members of the NOI. The purpose of tne FOI is to protect officials and property of the NOI, assure compliance of members with NOI teachings and to prevare for the "War of Srmageddon.” Members of the FOL are reqvired to pavticipate in military drill and are afforded tne cpportunity to engage in judo training.
