me we r CONFAENTIAL - The August 5, 1962, edition of the "New York Times contained an article which reflected that subject accepted PAUL ZUBER's invitation to attend an anti-segregation rally in Englewoud, New Sersey, on August 18, 1962, and that subject indicated he was going “for the sole purpose of showing Negroes the hypocrisy of the whites in Englewood", Ny 105-8999 The August 7, 1992, edition of the "New York Post", a daily newspaper published in New York, New York, contained an articie which reflected that the invitation to the subject to attend a raily in Erglevsod, New Jersey to protest segregation had split the “egro leadership of the Englewood movement, The article indicated that theese Necro clergymen had urged their parishonmrs to boycott ih: Avgust 18th rally because subject is a “advocate of hate" and a'rabble rouser". The August 8, 1962, edition of the "New York Times" contained an article which reflected that the subject had announced that he would not attend the August 18th rally at Englewood, New Jersey, declaring that the "narrow-mindedness” of some of the Negro clergy made it impossible for them to work in a united frong and unwilling to contribute to the disunity of a Negro community,the Muslims vould not become involved where they are not welcome. c. Affiliation and Association with the Communist Movement The April 29, 1952, edition of "The Worker", an East coast Communist newspaper, on page 10, column 5, under article capticned "What's On" advertised a symposium on "The Challenge of Racism" which was to be held on May ly 1962, at Palm Gardens, 305 Weat 52nd Street, New York City, and that the subject was to be one of several speakers, - 25 - CONFPREN TAL See NT mg RE Ie Fc ee See Pe gE TOE ee ing ee St rma tee ee
