Rntestiueal Socurlity - Muslin Mosque, Incorporated MUSLIM MOSQUE, INCORPORATED _ The March 13, 2564, editicn of "The New York Times," a daily newspaper published in New York, New York, contained an article on page 20 which indicated that MALCOIM % (LITTLE), former naticnal official of the Nation of Islam (NOX) and Minister of NOI Mosque #7, Hew York, who broke with the NOX on March 8, 1964, puplicly announced in New York City on March 12, 1964, that he bad formed the Maslim Mosqu2, Incorporated (MMT). The MMI, according to the article, would be a broadly based politically oriented biack nationalist movement fo. Negroes only, rinanced by voluntary contributicns. In this public statement MALCOLM X urged Negroes to abandon the doctrine of ncen-violence when it is necessarr to defend themselves in the civil rights struggle, ard he ainc 3guggesct2d tnat Negroes form rifle clubs to protect their lives and property in times of emergencies in areas wnere the government is unable or unwilling to protect them, ~ .+ Incorporation pepers of the MMI filed on March 16, 1954, with the Business Section, Clerk of Courts, New York County, New York, New York, reflect that the :ffi was incorporated under the Religions Corporation Law of the State of New York to work for the imparting of the Islamic Faith and Islamic Religion in accordance with "accepted Islamic principais." The principal place of worship to be located in the Borough of Manhattan, New York, New York. During en appearance over KYW - Television, Cleveland, Qhio, on April 7, 1964, MALCOIM X stated that the MMI does not stand for integration, but for complete freedom, justice, and equality for Negroes. He stated that Islam was the religious vhilosophy of the MMi, while the political, economic and social philosophy was black naticnalisnm.
