Yes. The blacks have enough of nonviolence. The
blacks begin to comprehend that when they demonstrate for
objectives which the Government itself has declared lavful,
they have the law on their side. All those who then oppose
them will be in an illegal position. At that moment there
will be an “illegal” elesent which will try to prevent the
blacks from claining their rights; when the blacks will see
what happens, they shall begin to retort. [n 1964, the blacks
will retort, for, for them, nonviolence has had its course.

I am not so such inforued about the situation is
Monroe, North Carolina. I know that Robert Willians had te
go into exile, simply because he tried to persuade our brothers
to defend theaselves ageinst the Eu Elux Klan and other white
groupa. I also know that fv Mallory was sentenced to tventy
years or souething like it, pecauseshe had fought for our
people. All this gives you ean idea what happeas in a democracy
