Y.—New York Moslems, followerat-——-——__-_____—__——-—_ > of Minister Elijah Muhammad, have circled May 23, this Fri- day, on their calendars as “D-Day,” at which time they will descend upon Ridgewood Felony Court to attend a hearing into the matter of the “false” arrest of five of their mem- L. Dele. - The Moslems contend thelr fiva ‘members were arrested falsely and without cause by police who “invaded” the Long Island home of Moslem Minister Malcolm X in search of one _ “Margaret Dorsey.” : . - a MINISTEE MALCOLM X, New York leader of the Moslems, lives on the second ficor of the build- ing visited by the officers. The Moslems contend that the officers broke into and shot Into church property and then arrest- ed five of their members falsely. They made It clear that they have never known a “Margaret _Dorsey.” It seems as though a postal nspector and a pair of white etectives had come to the down- tairs apartment looking for a ‘Mrs. Margaret Dorsey,” who, | according to the residents, was unknown at that address, s YVONNE XK MOLLETT, 27, was asked by the officera tf they could come in and look around. She told them that they could not without a warrant, where- upon the three men sought to force thelr way into the house. Miss Mollett was then jolned at the door by her sister, Audrey X Rice, 13, and a younger sister, and this trio kept the men from entering. They left wi threats that they would retur | with help. However, by the tim the sleuths put in their reappe ance, John KX Mollett, 28, the owner, had returned. The offt- cerg came ta the back door, and Mr, Mollett stepped outside to ask them whether they had a search warrant and to identify themselves, - One of the detectives, Joseph Kiernan, is reported to have be- come enraged at the delay. He sought to brush Mollett aside and force his way into the house. WHEN THIS happened, pent-up feelings broke loose and when thi melee was over, Kiernan and hi partner, Mike Bonura, were St. John’s Hospital nursing
