newspaper clipping from the August 21, 191.2 issue of the Los Angeles Tim
is- being made a part of instant file. ‘This newspaper clipping stated that
SIEBER, Austrian born husband of LARLENE DIETRICH, "yesterday obtained his
final naturalization papers at the Federal Building." It continued that,
SIZBEX, now a Hollywood motion picture director, will be eligible to take,
the citizenship gath within ninety days; that because of his marriage to} '
DIGIRICH, a naturalized citizen, it is not necessary for him to file the;
usual first papers; that he has been in the United States since 193k with
frequent trips to Europe before the present w

Special Agent on tugust 21, 192 was advised, J
when at the Immigration and Naturalization Service on official business,
that SIZBER had filed his papers the previous day; that his file is nurber
2h6/P/1000G1. In the august 2lst issue of the Daily Variety, a movie trade
sheet, appeared the-~item "STEBER now a citizen” and continued "JOSEF VON
STZRNGERG and TEDDY BAUMFELD were character witnesses yesterday for RUDOLPH
SIEBES, husband of HARLENE DIETRICE, when he was awarded citizenship papers.

naturalization two years in advance of schedule." .
On September 18, 192 this office received a letter from the Immi-
gration and Naturalization Service, this city, dated august 2y, 1942, their
file number 216/P/1O0081 which read as follows:

"Dear Sir:
"The person named below, who has filed a petition for
naturalization, is an enemy alien under the terms of Section «
326 of the Nationality Act of 19)0. It is requested that you
furnish this office, for use in cohsideration of the case, any
information contained in your files which-might reflect upon
the subject's loyalty to the United States and fitness for
United States citizenship. Please’ use the space at the bottom
of this letter for your reply, using additional pages if
necessary,
