On 10/24/52, Roger Touhy (aubject of 62-98259), through his
attorney, filed a complaint for civil damages against the Director
and addittonal individuals, including Melvin Furvis, to recover
$1,500,000 damages resulting from an alleged conspiracy to deprtve
Touhy of rights as guaranteed by the US Constitutton and laws.

o. New York Office by the Columbia Broadcasting System tn preparation for
e the television program "You Were There" to be broadcast on 2/22/53.
On 2/18/53 tt was learned that the above program regarding
the apprehenston of John Dillinger was inspired by Melvin Purvis and
because of Purvis’ interest in the script, the CBS-TV technictan was
not gtven a detailed tour of the WY Office.
