JAMES EDWARD JORDAN, a white male from Meridian,
Mississippi, an admitted participant in the abduction and
murder of the three civil rights workers, stated that on
June 21, 1964, EDGAR RAY KILLEN, JERRY SHARPE and a person
whom he believed to be JIMMY TOWNSEND, all residents of
Philadelphia, Mississippi, traveled to the Longhorn Drive-In,
Meridian, Mississippi, where KILLEN informed JAMES T. "PETE"
HARRIS, FRANK HERNDON, and JORDAN that three civil rights
workers were incarcerated at the Neshoba County Jail in
Philadelphia, Mississippi on minor charges. He indicated
these men could not be held long and he wanted Lauderdale
County Ku Klux Klan members to join a Neshoba Count rou
