"Billy Posey, who was driving the 1955 or 1956
red and white Chevrolet, pulled up alongside of this
car and the group in the 1959 Ford pulled in back of
Posey's car. Posey talked to the officers in the
Missiesippi Highway Safety Patrol car and at this
point, Deputy Sheriff Cecil Price drove up in his
1956 blue Chevrolet alone and parked next to Posey's
car. The Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol car
turned around and headed back toward Philadelphia.
Posey got out of his car and talked with Price and
shortly thereafter Price took off down Highway 19 in
a southerly direction. Posey walked over to the other
car and said that Price would catch them and that the
grcup was to follow hin.

carburetor trouble and to proceed after Frice's car.
